How We Grew
The Spark
It started with a set of analytical and statistical tools — calculators, matrices, and frameworks that helped teams make sense of complexity. Useful, but fragmented.
Structured Process
We connected those tools into organised workflows. Checklists became stages. Stages became gates. Gates became governance. Project management stopped being an art and started being a system.
Mission Control
A hierarchical command structure emerged — parent folders containing child folders, each with their own rules, metrics, and deliverables. Sequential progress tracked across multiple dimensions simultaneously.
Intelligent Assistance
Then came ANT SYSTEMS — an AI partner that does not just store your data, but understands it. Drafting documents, analysing economics, guiding decisions, and executing actions with your approval.
The Tree Structure
At its heart, RPMToolbox is a tree. There is a root — your main workspace — and it has branches. Each branch can have sub-branches, leaves, or nothing at all. Every branch has exactly one parent, except the root.
Now replace "branch" with Portfolio, "sub-branch" with Program, and "leaf" with Project. The structure is identical. The only thing that changes is the title and the rules applied at each level.
That folder structure is binned by a set of rules, governance, and compliance. And this is where RPMToolbox shines — giving you the freedom to formalise your structure and then utilising the right tools at every level.
Standards We Support
RPMToolbox does not force you into a single methodology. It inherits best practices from different frameworks, libraries, standards, certificates, and research papers — then lets you choose what works for your organisation.
PMI / PMP
Project Management Institute standards and certification frameworks.
PRINCE2
Process-based method for effective project management with clear governance.
Agile & Scrum
Iterative delivery with sprint planning, retrospectives, and velocity tracking.
VDM
Value-driven management focusing on benefits realisation and outcomes.
Waterfall
Sequential design process with distinct phases and milestone gates.
PMO
Project Management Office standards for enterprise portfolio oversight.
What Makes Us Different
Hierarchical Structure
Portfolio contains Programs. Programs contain Projects. Projects contain Work Packages. Each level inherits governance from above and adds its own rules.
Governance & Compliance
Every folder in your tree can enforce its own standards. PRINCE2 compliance at the portfolio level, Agile sprints at the program level, custom workflows at the project level.
Sequential Progression
Work flows through defined stages: Starting Up → Initiation → Delivery → Stage Boundary → Closing. No item skips a gate without approval.
Methodology Freedom
Use PRINCE2 for one portfolio, Scrum for another, and a hybrid for the third. RPMToolbox formalises your structure without forcing a single methodology.
